Lord Of The Rings Tops Classic FM’s Movie Soundtrack Poll

The results of Classic FM’s Top 50 Movie Soundtracks poll have been announced. Howard Shore’s Lord Of The Rings trilogy came in at the top followed by Hans Zimmer’s Gladiator and John Williams’ Star Wars.

John Williams also managed to receive the highest number of entries with 7 in total. When the poll was run in 2001, Star Wars took the top position, with Gone with the Wind coming second, Lawrence of Arabia third, Titanic fourth and Casablanca fifth.

The top 20 Movie Soundtracks were as follows:
