one hit wonders? based on what? the quality of the score of the box office returns? Zimmer and shore have had many great scores under their belt and anyone who knew what they were talking about wouldn't say either of them had 1 hit, or a wonder they had success in movies that had a big box office return. they weren't chosen to do LOTR or Gladiator out of the blue. Listen to Zimmer's The Thin Red Line score or my personal fav from Shore, The Fly, (which was score Peter Jackson thought of when he picked Shore for LOTR) and tell me they are one hit wonders? idiot.

First, it seems that the person who wrote this article did not understand the list, as it is merely a list of those who have only one entry on the same website's Classical Music Hall of Fame.

Second, some of the entries are for the obviously inferior works of great composers:
Michael Kamen-Band of Brothers? What about Robin Hood-Prince of Thieves which had a vastly better and more memorable score, to say nothing of his non-movie scoring achievements.
Howard Shore-Sure, the Lord of the Rings is his magnum opus, but Rudy had an equally classic score.
Morricone-Gabriel's Opus, have they never heard of The Good the Bad and the Ugly? Or Once upon a Time in the West?
Zimmer-Gladiator? I guess they forgot that the most memorable part of that score was a direct quote from his own score to the Thin Red Line.

One more thing: If all anyone ever did in life was write Cannon in D, then I consider that more accomplished that the vast majority of people who ever lived.
