Wedding Singer cast recording to hit stores in June

The cast recording for The upcoming Broadway production of The Wedding Singer from Masterworks Broadway will hit stores on June 6th. The cast will record the CD on May 1st.

The Wedding Singer will be the first recording for the newly formed Masterworks Broadway. The label is an outcome of the Sony BMG merger and combines Sony Classical/Columbia Masterworks and RCA Victor.

The Wedding Singer is now in previews at the Al Herschfeld Theater. It will officially open on April 27th.
 
Starring in the musical is join Stephen Lynch as Robbie Hart, Laura Benanti as Julia, Matthew Saldivar as Sammy, Richard Blake as Glen Gulia, Rita Gardner as Rosie, Kevin Cahoon as George, Amy Spanger as Holly, and Felicia Finley as Linda.
 
The production features music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, book by Tim Herlihy and Chad Beguelin, and direction by John Rando. The creative team includes choreography by Rob Ashford, scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Gregory Gale, and lighting design by Brian MacDevitt.
