This episode of Jay Leno’s Garage features Vice President Joe Biden getting a rare chance to drive his 67 Corvette Stingray, later they have an encounter with an unexpected rival.
Joe Biden is a big car fan, but as Vice President he is not allowed to drive and the secret service make sure he doesn’t sneak out to do doughnuts in the carpark.
However, on this occasion they have relented and he joins Jay at a secret location where they take Biden’s own 67 Corvette Stingray for a spin.
The 300 horsepower classic was a wedding gift to Biden from his father and with a rebuilt engine it can still push you back in your seat, with a respectable 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
