NBC’s other new show on Monday night, "Chase," is best explained as one of the characters describes her job, as “hide and seek with guns”.
"Chase" is about U.S. Marshals tracking down fugitives. That is basically it. "Chase" is a pretty good law enforcement drama, but has nothing new or unique that has not been seen and done before. The only difference being that instead of having a male lead, there is kick-ass Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish) as the main character.
Nowadays we expect the heroes/heroines of our crime dramas to be more complex and Annie Frost could be interesting if further developed and there is an effort for the fugitives to slightly less one dimensional.
But honestly, while watching the pilot was entertaining enough, there really isn’t anything about Chase that compels me to turn in and watch every week. I will be taking my chances with "The Event."
