I am a nurse. I am offended by and attracted to the show. The problem being most people believe what they see on TV to be real life. In that way it is detrimental to nursing.
Many rules and ethics are cast aside daily, by administration for financial reasons, by doctors for similar reasons, schedule issues....
They are not all wrapped up in one person however.
But they each exist to some degree, I am sorry to say.
I find the show highly entertaining in that there are many things she does that we would like to be able to do. My personal conscience would not allow me to live with myself if I did these things, but the watching of it being done fictitiously is humorous.
