I was looking forward to this particular new show, but this episode was filmed mostly in the dark that I could barely make out what was happening - really disappointing.

I loved the realistic lighting of the set that had nothing but turn of the century candles and gas lights, the mood was set, it was an otherworldly blip for the guys to stumble into, very good episode if you ask me.
Also the makeup effects were brilliant.

Maybe I wasn't concentrating enough, but I still say a lot of the scenes were too dark. Regardless, I look forward to other episodes and will certainly watch.

Enough vampire stories - hope there is something else coming. This first story was too predictable.

I'd like to comment on ABOUT TIME that there is a good somewhat of a scare/mystery type show now. Seems as if the movie theaters are going to be empty until someone comes up with some good scary movies, instead of remade chinese/japanese horror flicks. However, those too aren't too bad. I do have to say that poster 'Parker' might just need to adjust your television's contrast or brightness, because I saw everything just fine.

Thanks for the suggestion - I love a good horror show, so I've been looking forward to this series.
