I really like this idea that Martin is giving underground comics a sanctuary to bring more funny people to the surface and give them opportunities to make a name for themselves and even extra money and explore other career avenues to put food on the table... BUT...

There is always a BUT!!!

When will the real untapped 'Comedic' talent get the opportunity to shine. I read the list of comics and those are 10-15 year veterans that already have a name for themselves. I am a comic thats been performing for 5 years and I've had my fair share of stage time, but I'm sick of seeing the same ol' faces that killed the return of Def Jam. Those cats had they time, they were funny for the moment, but let the fresh new talent have a chance!

How would yall feel if Kool Moe Dee was still in rotation on the radio?

I went to the live taping in D.C. @ the Lincoln Theater. The venue was too small and it was general admission, so it was a first come, first serve type of deal. The people seated near the stage could hear, but the people up top could not. The acoustics in this ancient building was horrible. We could not hear the comics or the music (Biz Markie). Everyone was yelling, 'We can't hear, we can't hear'. We were told that we couldn't leave our seats, even to use the restroom. It was bogus. I expected more from a comedy show created by the one of the funniest dudes in comedy. Not to mention, the live taping was done in his hometown. How are you going to justify providing such a poor set to his own, 'Hometown'. We got jacked. I am so disappointed. The tickets were close to $25 for admission, so you get what you pay for...but I would've paid more if I would've been able to enjoy the show. The only funny part of the show was when those who vehemently complained received a partial refund.

You forgot to mention GRADY out of Chicago in that list of comics that performed on First Amendment. But that's okay, once the audience see's his performance his name will be mentioned by all!

I love the show, hadn't had a chance to go to a live taping yet but it is hilarious as hell. Big ups to Doug and Martin. Keep doing your thing!

I went to see the show live.....Can't tell you about the rest of the shows but with the exception of one white comedian, the entire show was one big racist piece of #$%^. If a white comedian blasted any race the way these so-called comedian's do, they would be fired. Ask the Seinfeld star. I'm not prejudice at all and I'm a big boy. I can leave any venue that I don't approve of and I can change the remote on my television. Didn't see Jesse in D.C. complaining about all the racist remarks. I guess we need an amendment to the bill of rights securing freedom of speech for all races including white America.
