The book of revelation isn't really that hard to figure out. There are some basic prinicples to keep in mind about prophecy. 1 is that the prophecies that are recorded in the Bible for the most part started in the time that the author was living and went forward from there. 2 unless it is stated in an obvious fashion, when a time line is given to a prophecy it runs uninterupted from it's beginning to it's end. 3 the symbalism that is found in prophecy is a constent. it doesn't change from one spot to thenext. That is the only way to correctly understand what is being talked about in many areas of scripture. If we make a symbal mean one thing at one point and then something else at another point then we can make the Bible say whatever we want it to which seems to be the thing with a lot of so called 'biblical scholars'. 4 if the holy spirit of god isn't leading you, then you will neveer undestand what the bible is talking about anywhere. 5 The Bible will never contradict itself, even if some poeple try to say that it does.
