A surprise twist in the MTV reality show, "Rock the Cradle", as the quiet and unassuming musician and artist Crosby Loggins stole Jesse Blaze Snider's golden thunder.

It was the charismatic Snider who dominated the competition early on, with his proud as a peacock parents pumping their fists and telling America that their kid rocked, end of story.

The dark horse and son of Kenny Loggins came through at the photo finish.

To kick off the night the remaining three of Chloe Lattanzi, Jesse Blaze Snider and Crosby Loggins performed a Medley for the night.

Jesse and his father perform papa Dee's greatest hit "Where Not Gonna Take It", while Chloe and her mother Olivia Newton-John express their love with "I Honestly Love You."

Crosby and his father belt out "Alright" with this famous Loggins duet.

And after it is announced that Chloe is done, Crosby Loggins and Jesse Snider both nervously stood on stage, and waited for Devlin to deliver the news: It was Crosby who America selected.

What does this mean?  Perhaps a slice of humble pie for the confident Jesse Blaze Snider would have served him better, but the kid has the goods.  He's funny, mesmerizing, handsome and has many additional talents outside music.  He will be fine.

Crosby, however, has a lifetime of great music and performances ahead.  The show did force him out of his shell, and for that experience alone, the ordeal of putting himself outside his comfort zone and trying each week was priceless.

Good on yer Crosby.  Many "Alright" days to come.
