"American Idol" said goodbye to Jason Castro, the Dallas kid who was the most unconventional looking and sounding contestant in a long time.

Jason spoke ot online reporters after the results show.

He was asked what threw him off durng his Idol performance Tuesday night.

"I just forgot where I was. I couldn't believe I forgot those words. Those words are so written on your heart. But I just laughed it off. I don't ever take myself too seriously. I'm still just human. I do wish I hadn't done that, but whatever. It happened for a reason. I think I'm right where I'm supposed to be.

He ceded that his inexperience got the better of him. Catro said, "I just really think the inexperience caught up to me."

Castro noted the pressure ramped up between each show.  "The next week was going to be three songs and I was freaking out. I was as happy getting voted off as I was to make it to the top 24."

Castro spoke aobut Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and his comments. "He was really very kind, but we're just different people. I don't think he gets me. I saw a lot of passion in him, but he couldn't pick up on my passion.

Castro talked about the Paula incident. I wasn;t aware of what was going confused. I was standing next to David and I wanted to turn to him and say, ''What?'' I thought the second song was good. I was just confused. It was too funny. But it was just an honest mistake.

Castro noted he was ready to have fun and not worry so much by introducing some Bob Marley into the mix.  "I didn't have to deal with song pressure anymore. I was so happy, plus I love Bob Marley and reggae music.

Jason was excited for the upcoming Idol tour and beyond.  "I'm so excited. I can't wait. It's going to be a blast. I have some ideas what I'm going to sing. Maybe one or two I didn't do on the show.

I think I might move to Los Angeles. I guess I'll just play it by ear."
