Netflix previously announced plans to run the AMC Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, sometime next year. But it was revealed that the complete first season of Saul will air exclusively on Netflix in Europe and Latin America days after its U.S. finale.

'Saul' stars comedian Bob Odenkirk as the ethically challenged Albuquerque lawyer who won Walter White (Bryan Cranston) as a client. The new series will follow Goodman in the years leading up to his partnership with chemistry teacher and drug dealer Walter White.

AMC has not yet announced U.S. air dates.

"Coming off of the overwhelming success of Breaking Bad, we're excited to continue our collaboration with Vince [Gilligan, show creator], as well as [writer] Peter Gould, and that fans around the world will be able to embrace Saul," Steve Mosko, president of Sony Pictures Television, said in a statement.

Four seasons and a eight of the last 16 Breaking Bad episodes are available to stream in all Netflix territories.

The final episode of the Emmy-winning show, which stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gun, Dean Norris, and Odenkirk, aired on Sept. 29. Earning record ratings (10.3 million viewers), with the Badfinger song ushering out a series that had built a crescendo of fan loyalty. For M&C, it was one of the top TV series of 2013.

"Breaking Bad is widely recognized as one of the great TV experiences in this new golden age of television," Netflix COO Ted Sarandos said, adding that it has served Netflix well among global fans.

"This spin-off promises to continue its tradition of powerful storytelling," he said. "We are proud to be in business with Sony Pictures Television to bring Saul Goodman to our subscribers around the world."

We are loving the Netflix strategy that allows you to binge-watch the entire series at once. The concept was used by us this past weekend for the season two premiere of 'Lilyhammer,' a fantastic no miss noir comedy starring Steven Van Zandt, dotted with guest stars like British heavy Alan Ford.

We appreciate not having to wait and wait for the next episode, we get the whole story - commercial free - and a satisfaction of controlling the viewing. Not missed is network pacing, commercials and mediocre mass market censored content.
