'American Horror Story' will go to season four on FX

Ryan Murphy has created the perfect TV drama to showcase the best female actresses around.

American Horror Story: Coven continues the tour de force work of Jessica Lange, the "supreme" witch of a coven of witches set in New Orleans. She is electric in every scene.

Last year's American Horror Story: Asylum saw Lange as sister Jude, another character that held her own with another acting lion, James Cromwell.

Great news for us fans of the series! FX orders a fourth Installment of American Horror Story. The networked has ordered a fourth installment of 13 episodes.

"Put simply, Ryan Murphy is a master television producer," John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks and FX Productions, said. "Time and time again he reinvents the form...Every year, they create a riveting and brilliant new miniseries. AHS: Coven is the best yet, and I have no doubt that the next installment will be even better."

And alum (from season one) Connie Britton, currently on "Nashville," is rumored to be coming back.

The critics love the series too. The American Horror Story franchise has earned 34 Emmy nominations.

The cast boasts the best in the business: Lange, Cromwell, Gabourey Sidibe, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Connie Britton, Taissa Farmiga, Emma Roberts, Zachary Quinto, Frances Conroy and Denis O'Hare.

The current season is airing on Wednesdays at 10/9c. :
