MTV's 'Catfish: The TV Show' back Tuesday, June 25

In 1987, President Ronald Reagan declared June 25 as “National Catfish Day” and stated, “I call upon the people of the United States to observe this day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.”

In 1987, President Ronald Reagan declared  June 25 as “National Catfish Day” and stated, “I call upon the people of the United States to observe this day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.”  

Now on June 25, 2013, MTV is answering President Reagan’s call to action and celebrating the day with the season two return of the critically acclaimed docu-series "Catfish: The TV Show" at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.  The season two premiere episode will feature Cassie, a Florida girl who pursues her fiancé Steve, a busy Atlanta rapper who she’s never met.
 
In honor of “National Catfish Day,” delicious catfish will take over all of MTV social channels.  From the catfishing of iconic MTV moments to catfish po boys and catfish reveals from season one; were they really catfish? MTV will also air a marathon of the complete first season on Sunday, June 23 beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET/PT and again on Tuesday, June 25 beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT.  The season-one marathon, hosted by Nev and Max, will re-introduce viewers to the couples featured in season one, plus at the end of each episode, fans will get an update on their relationships now.  Throughout the day, fans will also get can’t-miss full scene sneak peeks at season two.  Viewers who want to join the “Catfish: The TV Show” premiere discussion on Twitter can hashtag to #catfishpremiere.
