Here it is, this week's 'Dance Moms' Recap - Camouflaged Maneuvers: Abby Goes on a Date, Mackenzie Hurts her Foot!

Last week on Dance Moms studio owner/teacher Abby Lee Miller went speed dating; if you missed it you can catch up by reading our recap here.

This week on season 3, episode 11 titled "Camouflaged Maneuvers", the moms are excited to learn that Abby nabbed a real date. Meanwhile the girls of the Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) struggle to learn a military-inspired group dance, and Mackenzie has an injured foot – or does she?

Hold on to your combat boots and camouflage pants, as the ALDC is marching into Minneapolis to perform a military inspired group number called "Don't Ask Just Tell" in the In10sity Dance Competition.

Before getting there, they have to endure Abbey's dance boot and intense rehearsals, and the Moms have a surprise as they take Melissa out for some wedding dress shopping.

Abbey receives a call from a suitor for dinner, and she couldn't be more happy!

As always, the girls start the week with the all too famous pyramid....here's the quick breakdown:

Bottom is Mckenzie, Nia, and Paige; Middle is Kendall and Maddie.  And as a shock to all - Brook, the girl ALWAYS being picked on by Abbey - dons the top spot on the pyramid.

There is not much excitement and praise going on as Abbey reminds her that it's always easy to get to the top, but it's hard to stay there. Now she carries the burden and fighting to stay on top.

The military inspired group number called "Don't Ask Just Tell" sees all the girls included in the routine... but Mckenzie.  She is put on dance rest due to an ankle sprain, but the rest of the Moms and Abbey are quick to give their condolences and she runs around and does cartwheels in the hallway.

There are also three solos this week that will be performed by Brook, Kendall and Maddie. Abbey assures them that it's not going to be easy and that they have to prove themselves to her.

Up in the chatter box Holly (Nia's Mom) is still fuming over Jill's attempts and getting Kendall to one-up her own daughter. Holly can be mad, but Jill's tactics worked as Kendall has a solo this week.

Abbey is walking with a pep in her step and a huge smile on her face at rehearsal as she patiently awaits her evening of romance with a man she met in a gas station (yes you read that right!).

She finishes the day with a quick one-on-one rehearsal with Maddie and then is whisked away on a private romantic day.

The next day in the gym the moms press Abbey for info about the date, but she is tight-lipped and won't say a word. Abbey gets down to business with the girls as she delivers a boot camp-style rehearsal that includes an intimidating interrogation.

The moms slip away from the studio, as they accompany Melissa in a Champagne induced happiness checking out potential wedding dresses; it's nice to see them getting along for once.

The girls arrive in Minneapolis at the In10sity Dance competition, and are all in game face mode as they prepare for the days events. Kendall is up first with a contemporary piece called "Secret," and she pulls fourth place. Abbey was less than pleased, but she did remind Maddie (her super star) the Kendall is quickly biting at her heels.

Maddie charged the stage with another contemporary piece called "Up Hill Battle." Abbey was floored when Maddie received second place, saying she clearly deserved first.

Brook was the last of the soloists to go; she performed her acrobatic routine called "Arm Yourself," and she received second place and a short tongue lashing from Abbey that she could do better.

Last but not least, the group performs a Hip Hop number called "Don't Ask Just Tell." They seemed energetic and upbeat, but it didn't pay off as they received seventh place overall.

The moms and daughters sit anxiously for Abbey to appear and deliver the news as to how bad they were, and in true Abbey form, she walks in waving a white flag signaling she surrenders.

Abbey confronts the moms and tell them they need to drill their kids and make them work harder, and push them to do better...as she states very clearly, "There is something wrong broken with the ALDC"... and she will do whatever it takes to fix it!

See you next week!
