BBC AMERICA co-production Ripper Street has been ordered for eight more episodes, with the second season set to premiere in 2014.
The gripping series is one of the best new offerings on American television and especially juicy is actor Joseph Gilgun who is featured this coming episode as a charismatic evil child gang leader named Carmichael.
The lead actors Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothenberg are exemplary in scene and click from frame one, as writer Richard Warlow has created an extraordinary series set in the East End of London in 1889.
The mood of the series is dark, ominous after the aftermath of the "Ripper" murders. The new episodes will premiere this Saturdays at 9:00pm ET/PT.
