Yahoo!’s Year in Review: Game of Thrones, Honey Boo Boo, American Idol list favorites

You all loved Game of Thrones, Walking Dead and Modern Family for 2012 searches, the latter was the sixth most-searched for television comedy on Yahoo! in 2012, behind Family Guy, South Park, Glee, How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory.

This morning, Yahoo! released its Year in Review, the annual look back at the top stories and trends of the year based on the daily search habits of millions of people on Yahoo!.

The Olympics were a top search overall on Yahoo!, and while the “Fab Five” garnered a lot of searches, it was Maria Sharapova, Lolo Jones, Serena Williams, and Hope Solo that topped the Olympian list on Yahoo!.
