Investigators say they believe Lewis beat the woman, reportedly his landlord, to death.
Sad news for fans of Johnny Lewis, who was the prospect "Kip 'Half-Sack' Epps" on the FX hit series, "Sons of Anarchy."
Lewis was found dead yesterday in the driveway of a building where an 81-year-old woman he's suspected of murdering was also discovered, according to TMZ.
Johnny was on either PCP or meth, according to reports, when he allegedly killed an 81-year old woman, fought two men and then fell to his death. He was also released from jail days before this event and allegedly out of rehab.
TMZ claims that Johnny used a 2x4 piece of wood to attack along with his bare hands.
According to TMZ, neighbors told law enforcement that they heard the woman screaming ... and then saw a young man outside her home attack 2 men with a piece of wood ... before he climbed onto the roof and fell to his death.
Showrunner Kurt Sutter posted his thoughts on Twitter:
"...not sure if folks know this yet, but johnny lewis (halfsack) died last night. the sad irony of it happening two days after opie's death is not lost on me. it was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. i wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path. yes, it's day or mourning, but it's also a day of awareness and gratitude. sadly, some of us carry the message by dying."
Happier days, the gag reel from season 2 "Sons of Anarchy":
