Touchy Feely Films will seek to develop series projects exclusively for cable television. The term of the deal is two years.

“We’re thrilled Paul and Dan chose FX Productions to set up shop and we look forward to being in business with them,” said Schrier. “Their ideas and sensibilities fall squarely in line with the type of projects we’re looking to produce. They are a terrific addition to our growing roster of producers under the FXP banner.”

The deal with FXP is the first television output deal for Touchy Feely Films.

“I am incredibly pleased and honored to have this opportunity to work with all the fine folks at FX,” said Giamatti.  “They are simply great at what they do, and we eagerly anticipate putting together some great shows with them.”

Carey added, “We couldn’t be more excited.  FX has put a string of great shows on television over the past few years, and we’re thrilled to have a chance to add to that body of work.”

Paul Giamatti's award-winning television credits include Curtis Hanson’s HBO movie Too Big To Fail, in which he portrayed Ben Bernanke, and the title character in the HBO 7 Part Emmy® Award Winning Mini-Series John Adams, for which he won an Emmy®, SAG and Golden Globe® Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries.

His award-winning feature film credits include Ron Howard’s Cinderella Man, Alexander Payne's critically-lauded Sideways, and Robert Pulcini's American Splendor. He is also an accomplished stage actor and he received a Drama Desk nomination for Best Supporting Actor as "Jimmy Tomorrow" in Kevin Spacey's Broadway revival of The Iceman Cometh.

Dan Carey is a New York-based independent producer.  He currently runs Touchy Feely Films with partners Paul and Elizabeth Giamatti.

The company is currently in production on a new film directed by Phil Morrison and written by Melissa James Gibson, starring Paul Giamatti, Paul Rudd and Sally Hawkins. Other feature producing credits include Cold Souls, Pretty Bird, John Dies at the End, and Padre Nuestro, which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2007. Projects in development include an adaptation of Dirk Wittenborn’s novel Pharmakaon, an adaptation of Theresa Rebeck’s novel Three Girls and Their Brother, and an HBO mini-series based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book The Making of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes.

John Landgraf spearheaded the formation of FX Productions in 2005 prior to the production of FX’s hit comedy series, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Since that time, FXP has produced 11 comedy series and co-produced eight drama series. Eric Schrier oversees all aspects of business operations for FXP and has played an integral role in its growth.  He reports to Landgraf.  Nick Lombardo is Vice President of Production and Kelly Cline is Executive Vice President in charge of Business and Legal Affairs.
