“My Shopping Addiction” is another series that reveals OCD and Hoarder like tendences of people who use an activity of collecting things (via excessive shopping) to medicate something broken and hurting in their own lives.

From an heiress who spends an average of $30,000 per month to a woman who can’t get enough of the 99 cent store, “My Shopping Addiction” captures an intimate look into the lives of young people facing a crisis brought on by a dangerous addiction to shopping.

In this eight episode series, viewers will witness what happens when their obsession causes their finances and lives to spiral out of control. Each hour-long episode follows two shopping addicts that will be forced to face their problem head on with the help of a clinical psychologist who will help them on the road to recovery.

The premiere episode, airing Monday, October 15 at 11pm ET/PT, follows Heather, whose shopping addiction began 10 years ago after she inherited a large sum of money from her grandmother.

Heather has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars shopping and if she’s not careful, she could lose it all. The episode also captures Roshanda, who borrows money from friends and family in order to pack her home full of products from the 99 cent store. With the help of psychologists, Dr. Ramani Durvasula and Dr. David Tolin, these women will be forced to face their issues and get to the bottom of their addiction once and for all.

In the second episode airing on Monday, October 22 at 11pm ET/PT, viewers will meet Jennae, a college dropout who blows all her money shopping instead of paying rent. The episode also features Anna who is addicted to New York City retail and can’t stop shopping even though she is facing eviction.
