American Idol on FOX barely resembles the hit series that once featured Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.
All three are now gone as Jackson is replaced with Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and maybe country crooner Keith Urban, according to TMZ.
The scuttle is that diva Mariah Carey and Minaj are expected to create ratings fireworks with their alleged lack of love for each other.
Jackson was a level player in the larger-than-life personality game, always keeping a jovial and solid demeanor on the judges panel as he affectionately called contestants "dawgs" and offered the most constructive criticism from a musician's perspective.
