From ABC

LA is a city rich with history, but when it comes to music, few areas in the world can claim as many icons and legends in one small stretch, as Laurel Canyon. The music that came out of the Laurel Canyon area in the 60’s and 70’s shaped an entire generation… and beyond.

Residents of the canyon included the Doors, Brian Wilson, Jimi Hendrix, the Mamas and the Papas, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Frank Zappa, Sonny & Cher, Joni Mitchell, the Monkees, Carole King and on and on.

On Saturday, Sept. 8th from 8-9pm on ABC7-Eye on LA’s “The Music of Laurel Canyon” brings you incredible stories from the people who experienced it all first hand, as well as rarely or never before seen photos and film footage from famed photographers and filmmakers, Henry Diltz, Bobby Klein, Malcolm Leo and many others!
