Kelsey Grammer is convinced his GOP views will keep him off award lists for left-leaning Hollywood voters.
The Tonight Show saw Kelsey Grammer tell host Jay that Emmy voters ignored Boss mainly because he's a Republican.
Leno asked him why he won a Golden Globe for the Starz drama but got no love from the Emmy awards.
"Yeah, it's hard to figure," said Grammer. "It may have to do with several things, honestly, but I think it's possible. I mean, I'm a declared out-of-the-closet Republican in Hollywood."
A known conservative, Grammer already has 14 Emmy nominations and five wins for such hit shows as Cheers, Frasier, The Simpsons and Wings.
Other well-known conservative actors include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Cheryl Ladd, Bill Engvall, Gary Sinise, Clint Eastwood, Dean Cain, Scott Baio, Angie Harmon, Ben Stein, Dennis Miller, Adam Baldwin, James Caan, James Woods and many more.
