On Monday, August 13 10/9c the episode "Bad Teeth" will premiere.
NBC's Portland, Oregon based supernatural series "Grimm" is a delicious ride and sparkles with the perfect blend of humor and horror, and is more psychological scare than in-your-face gore.
In the 1980s, Friday night was once home to HBO's Tales from the Crypt, a celebration of horror vignettes that cackled, crackled and entertained families.
"Grimm" is a drama series inspired by the classic Grimm Brother’s Fairy Tales but goes even further in the beastie mythologies. "Grimm" has picked up that fun family night scarefest baton and charmed critics and fans alike who revel in the great storytelling of Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt, showrunners who weave fairybook legends and bogeyman tales from the world over who dare to do battle with the Grimm legacy, Nick Burkhardt, played by David Giuntoli.
"Grimm" makeup design is also superlative, thanks to the hard work of Barney Burnham, Stevie Bettles and JoJo Proud and their respective teams who make the cast look both gorgeous and grotesque.
On Monday, August 13 10/9c the episode "Bad Teeth" will premiere.
After Portland homicide detective Nick discovers he’s descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as ‘Grimms,’ his day job gets a bit tougher.
Season two opens with his fiancée, Juliette Silverton (Bitsie Tulloch) in harms way still, and his partner, Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby) dealing with a bit of a mental breakdown.

Nick's blutbad buddy Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) help him try to unravel the coma spell, but Nick's "dead" mother (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) leaps into his life and onto the screen as she helps track some lethal enemies to the Grimm family.
Reggie Lee and Sasha Roiz also star as Sgt. Wu and Captain Renard, the latter is a hexenbiest deviously trying to direct Nick into harm's way.

The premiere episode titles "teeth" introduces us to a Wesen, as Mike Dopud is cast as Marnassier, a "Mauvais Dentes" (literally means “Bad Teeth”).
Loved seeing actor James Frain play Eric Renard, a mastermind aristocratic type who orchestrates the French speaking beastie to Portland in hopes of ending the Grimm lineage.

"The Kiss"

More details are revealed about the source of Juliette's illness, resulting in an epic showdown. Back at the precinct, Hank senses that something is amiss when Nick lands in hot water with the FBI. Meanwhile, Captain Renard continues to reveal himself as he deals with his estranged brother.
Grimm will be airing three episodes in its Mondays at 10:00 time slot before moving back to its Friday home on September 14th.
