Tune in alert as Viacom Media networks' high-def music channel Palladia brings the 5th annual "Outdoor Week 2012."
Palladia wraps up the summer with the return of “Outdoor Week” - its biggest event of the year.
From Viacom:
Beginning Monday, August 27 through Labor Day, Monday, September 3. Palladia will give music junkies a front row seat to eight days of exclusive concerts that will cover the best of hard rock, indie and pop music.
The line-up will feature outdoor concerts and festivals 24 hours a day with a new premiere each night. Viewers can watch the hottest outdoor festivals and concerts from the comfort of the cool indoors, as Palladia takes viewers around the world to the biggest outdoor events of the year!
Palladia’s “Outdoor Week” will feature top artists including Elton John, Jay Z, Pearl Jam, Rihanna, Metallica, Nicki Minaj, Mumford & Sons, The Cure, The Flaming Lips, My Morning Jacket, Nas, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Lana Del Rey, Emeli Sande, Slash, Noah & The Whale, Chaka Khan.

Monday, August 27
“Hangout Festival 2012” Airs at 9pm*
With the Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop, this annual festival will kick off the Palladia Outdoor Week premieres, introducing viewers to the new festival from the Gulf Shores of Alabama. The special features performances by Dave Matthews Band, Wilco, The Flaming Lips, Dispatch, Dawes, Alabama Shakes, Gary Clark Jr., Edward Sharp, and Coheed & Cambria.
Tuesday, August 28
“The Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon” Airs at 9pm*
The Flaming Lips jam out to Pink Floyd’s iconic album “Dark Side of the Moon,” performing the 1973 hit in its entirety. Taped live at the Hangout Festival 2012, this unique venue is the perfect backdrop to recreate the band's popular tunes including “Money” and “Time.”
Wednesday, August 29
“Download Festival 2012” Airs at 9pm*
This annual three-day festival held at Donington Park bangs 2012 with a line-up that features some of rock's most popular bands including: Metallica, Soundgarden, Tenacious D, Anthrax, Slash, Megadeth, Lamb of God and Machine Head.
Thursday, August 30
“Rockness 2012” Airs at 9pm*
Often referred to as the “the most beautiful festival in the world,” Rockness 2012 takes viewers into a thrilling musical celebration taped lived on the banks of Lock Ness in Scotland. This year’s festival features Mumford & Sons, Biffy Clyro, Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Ed Sheeran, Noah & The Whale, Deadmau5, Friendly Fires and DJ Fresh Presents Fresh Live all jamming out on the shores that may be home to one of the world’s most mysterious creatures - the Loch Ness Monster .

"Ibiza 1-2-3 Rocktonic Festival 2012: Elton John & PNAU" Airs at 9pm*
Elton John and PNAU unite on stage at the brand new IBIZA 1-2-3 ROCKTONIC FESTIVAL held this past July. This one hour special taped on the coast of San Antonio on the island of Ibiza features Elton John performing some of his hits solo, while joining PNAU, one of Australia’s most loved electronic acts, for a set together. Songs include “Your Song,” “Levon,” “Rocket Man,” “Good Morning To The Night” and more.
Saturday, September 1
“Isle of Wight 2012” Airs at 9pm*
The Isle of Wight Festival was first held from 1968 to 1970, with the 1970 event drawing an even bigger crowd than Woodstock. Since being revived in 2002, the festival has grown rapidly, attracting some of the biggest names in rock. This year Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Pearl Jam, Elbow, Noel Gallagher’s Flying Birds, The Darkness, Biffy Clyro, Primal Scream, Jessie J and more perform at the Isle of Wight in the UK.

“BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend 2012” Airs at 9pm*
The BBC Radio 1 annual festival changes venues this year as this top festival moves to the Hackney Marshes in the UK for a star studded event. The telecast features Jay Z, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Nas, Florence & The Machine, Leona Lewis, Will.i.am, Trey Songz, Emeli Sande, Jack White, Jessie J, B.o.B, Flo Rida and Taio Cruz.
Monday, September 3
“Lovebox 2012” Airs at 9pm*
This musical festival celebrating its 10th anniversary makes its Palladia premiere during this year’s Outdoor Week. The festival highlight show features Lana Del Ray, Chaka Khan, Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Emeli Sande, Friendly Fires, Groove Armada and Hot Chip.
