Theater lover Fred Willard was fired from his PBS voice-over duties after his alleged onanistic incident was exposed.
Willard was arrested for "lewd" behavior in a XXX adult movie theater in Los Angeles, as NYTimes.com reports that he was fired from his job on a Boston-produced PBS series less than 24 hours later.
WGBH “Market Warriors” show sacked Willard, who allegedly was caught dead to rights masturbating by undercover LAPD cops in the Tiki Theater. Willard was the narrator for “Market Warriors.”
“Roadshow” host Mark L. Wahlberg will re-dub the episodes.
“Given the unfortunate news reported (yesterday), effective immediately Fred Willard no longer will be involved with the ‘Market Warriors’ series,” said Jeanne Hopkins, a for Boston’s Channel 2.
Meanwhile Willard denied any wrong doing to TMZ cameramen on the air, and Willard’s attorney Paul Takakjian told TMZ.com that the actor “did nothing in any violation of any law.”
“We will be working vigorously to clear his name in this matter,” he said.
