Russell not going so fast on True Blood, some thoughts
By April MacIntyre Jul 16, 2012, 15:32 GMT

Russell is marched to his death, except it doesn\'t happen.
I do not know what to make of this season's 'True Blood', with the friendship between Eric and Bill, the Alcide factor, and Hoyt in guyliner.
Bill (Stephen Moyer), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) track down the best character ever - Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare) - to kill him.
Alcide is attacked by a V-drankin' werewolf, while two more of the pack distract Eric and Bill. That leaves Sookie with fey fairie fan Russell, who is blasted away by her fairie light beam.
Can I just tell you how happy I am "Breaking Bad" is finally back on the air?
Authority member Kibwe (Peter Mensah) takes Russell into custody.
Meanwhile at Fangtasia, Tara (Rutina Wesley)’s catfight with Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) over Hoyt (!) and his adrogynous makeover continues as Pam (Kristin Bauer) praises her "dog" Tara.
Alcide is shirtless a lot in this episode, for those wondering.
Kibwe orders Bill and Eric to glammer the human and werewolf because they’ve seen too much, and Bill tells Sookie to forget about him.
Eric plants the message to Alcide to “always protect Sookie with your life” and to keep his paws off her “romantically speaking.”
Shape Shifter Sam (Sam Merlotte) and Luna (Janina Gavankar) survived being shot by human vigilantes.
Sookie’s psychic ability reveals Bill and Eric's glammer edicts and she and Alcide, are furious. “They purposely kept him alive,” Alcide raves. “Explain to me how that makes sense in any f*cking universe.”
Then cook Terry (Todd Lowe) and his sergeant manage to survive the Ifrit that kills their platoon-mate. He knows he has been cursed and it’s just a matter of time before he and his family perish in a fiery death. He breaks with Arlene (Carrie Preston), to save them all.
Which leaves us with Roman (Christopher Merloni) salites Eric and Bill, yet Salmoe (Valentina Cervi) is upset.
Russell is marched to his death, except it doesn't happen.
The Guardian is ready to deliver the true death to Russell with an iStake - as Bill, Eric but Russell turns the tables, and says “Peace is for p---s,” as he over powers Roman and stakes him.
Ciao Meloni, it was nice having you pass through Bon Temps. Glad to see Russell is still with us. Here's to Lafayette getting better screentime.
