True Blood recap eyeliner edition 'Let's Boot and Rally', some thoughts

Pam's (Kristin Bauer) uber-glam influence is upping everyone's makeup game, even Hoyt (Jim Parrack).

Poor Hoyt is the new androgynous sad bastard of the series, trying to entice Tara to suck on his neck, leaving him a pitiful heap of fangbanger fail sitting on the toilet of the ladies room as Tara and Jess have an epic catfight over him, much to Pam's delight.

The fifth season of ‘True Blood‘ is heating up as the recuperating ash heap that was Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare) is coming back to life, and the season intensifies with smoke monsters and more supernatural factions in “Let’s Boot and Rally” which aired this Sunday July 8.

Tara is stuck with Pam as her boss in Fangtasia, being assigned as the new bartender. This leaves Tara bitching and moaning that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

The episode opens with Sookie (Anna Paquin) barfing on a nearly naked Alcide (Joe Manganiello) as Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) critique the almost tryst.

Terry’s terror of the Ifrit curse is beginning to take shape and hold our interest. The smoke monster has erupt-eth.

Chris Meloni’s Roman so far is my least favorite S5 character, his only redemption to be paired in future ego/penis comparing scenes with Russell, as they are both insufferable but for different reasons. Edgington, at least, has better lines to roll off.

Then, Jesús’ head also makes a comeback, lips stitched up as Lafayette is horrified and his touched in the head mum is conversing with it like a caged bird.
