'Homeland' star Claire Danes' pregnant, will her character be with child too?

Happy news for actress Claire Danes, expecting a child with Hugh Dancy.

In an interesting twist, showrunners and writers for Showtime's excellent thriller drama 'Homeland' now have an option to perhaps have Danes' CIA agent wind up pregnant from her affair with returned war veteran Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis). They had a weekend tryst that went south quickly, as Danes was placed in psych lockdown and electroshock therapy for her belief Brody was turned into a terrorist embed.

'Homeland' features an outstanding cast headed by Danes and Lewis, with Mandy Patinkin, whose character Saul seems to intuit and believe Dane's character.

In the series, Claire Danes plays Carrie Mathison, a genius at unraveling clues and observing behaviors of the Islamic terrorists she is tasked with.

Conflicting chatter on the Danes' pregnancy from TV Line who brings the possibility that Carrie Matthison might end up being pregnant in the show, and from People magazine's reporting claiming that Danes' pregnancy is not expected to have any affect on the series.  We are hoping TV Line is correct.
