For fans of ABC's Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, past bachelorette Ashley Hebert is blogging for PARADE every week about her insider's take on the drama before and after the Bachelorette rose ceremony.
In her latest blog, she reveals why Jef is the guy for Emily and says that the latest episode was her favorite so far.
The Edge: Team Jemily…
"Up until now, I felt the season got somewhat off to a slow start, but traveling to London sure has gotten feelings and drama stirring. Silently sweet Sean gets the first date card. Finally, we get to see what this guy is all about. If there's one thing I know, it’s that Emily and Sean would make super Barbie and Ken babies. Gorge! Beyond this, the date was a bit slow for me, but it’s pretty clear that Sean is one of the good guys that Emily and other women always dream about. You have to give him props for getting up and publicly talking so openly about love and what he's looking for. He seems perfect, but is he too perfect? I think Emily needs a man with a bit of an edge, so even though this date went well, I'm not completely sold on them as a match."
Ashley's thoughts on Jef and why he's the one for Emily…
"Overall, Jef seems so genuine, mature, smart, and has his life priorities in line. He has a good head on his shoulders, but also has that extra "edge" that I believe Emily needs: the skateboard, the great style, interesting career, and fun hair. I rarely remember the specifics of what Emily and her men talk about over dinner, but I can't help but remember a couple of Jef's thoughts: He wants to find someone to "share the details with," and he wants to have dance parties with Ricki while Emily is not home. I got goose bumps watching it, and I just got goose bumps reliving it in my head. When I saw Jef get down on one knee and propose to Miss Piggy, I got these same feelings. How sweet was it when he said this was the most anticipated kiss of his life. I think Jef is the one for Emily."
