Jerry O’Connell as Herman, Portia de Rossi to play Lily Munster on NBC's Mockingbird Lane

Actress Portia de Rossi Cast scooped the role of Lily Munster in NBC's Mockingbird Lane.

TVLine.com reports that Portia will be stepping into the role Yvonne De Carlo made famous - the original Lily on the 1960s "The Munsters."

Bryan Fuller and Bryan Singer are overseeing production. TVLine reports that this effort by NBC will be a “visually spectacular one hour drama” versus a campy comedy.

Jerry O’Connell was previously announced to fill the big shoes of Herman Munster, the late Fred Gwynne's iconic TV role, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Al Lewis' role, Mason Cook is cast as Eddie and Charity Wakefield will play "normal" Marilyn.
