Colossal screw ups are never fun, especially when recorded on live TV.
Give it up for class act Martin Short, who graciously did not correct Kathie Lee Gifford on the Today Show as she went on about his successful marriage, despite the fact he lost his beloved wife a few years back to cancer.
TMZ got the goods and video of the poorly produced segment that shows Gifford not being corrected.
Gifford asked Martin Short how his wife is doing, and went on and on about their great marriage as the actor was just there to promote "Madagascar 3."
Kathie asked, "And you and Nancy have one of the greatest marriages of anybody in show business. How many years now for you guys?"
Martin looked down and composed himself, "We ... have ... married ... 36 years."
Martin's wife Nancy Dolman passed away in August 2010 from ovarian cancer.
