Britney Spears signs on to X Factor

Britney Spears is to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as a judge on The X Factor.
Spears finally inked her deal this week, E! News reported. Spears will get $15 million for one season's worth of work.
Cowell fired judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones based on lackluster ratings and critical chatter.
This will be Britney's first network TV project since her short-lived Britney & Kevin: her cringe-worthy series with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Cowell and FOX will announce the fourth judge at the fall schedule at the upfronts on Monday.
