Kevin Costner to speak at Whitney's funeral

Actor Kevin Costner starred with Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard back in 1992, as Houston's career seemed to reach the pinnacle of pop superstardom.
Costner was cast a a bodyguard hired to protect Houston's character, a music star, from a stalker. Filmmaker Lawrence Kasdan wrote the script in the 1970s, originally for Steve McQueen and Diana Ross.
The film was the acting debut of Houston, who received critical praise.
Costner will speak at the private, invitation-only funeral, according to reports.
The ceremony will feature performances by Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Houston's godmother, Aretha Franklin.
Houston's former husband Bobby Brown and singer Roberta Flack are also set to attend.
A perimeter has been set up for four blocks in two directions, and two blocks in the other directions, according to reports and NJ Gov. Chris Christie ordered flags at half staff to honor the New Jersey native.
CNN reported that her death certificate filed in Los Angeles lists Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey as her resting place.
