Lee Mead has joined the cast of 'Bedlam'.

The 'Any Dream Will Do' winner is 'really excited' to be tackling the role of Scott in the supernatural drama series when it returns to SkyLiving this spring.

He said: 'When the role in 'Bedlam' came up I was really excited at the chance to be involved with and star alongside such a great cast in a fresh and original psychological drama.

'It's completely different from anything I've done before.'

Lee's character doesn't believe in ghosts but after moving into haunted apartment building Bedlam Heights, he begins to change his mind.

The actor is the latest edition to the show following Lacey Turner's appointment as a paramedic who sees ghosts in the next series.

The 23-year-old former 'EastEnders' actress is 'excited' to have landed the role of Ellie in the paranormal drama - which starred Will Young in the first season - which is set in an old mental asylum that has been turned into a block of flats.

Jack Roth - the son of Hollywood actor Tim - will also appear in the show.

The first series ended with the cast caught up in a massive explosion, but the old stars could make cameo appearances as show bosses tie up loose ends in the new series.
