EastEnders' Derek Branning plots to kill Roxy

EastEnders' Derek Branning hires a hitman to kill Roxy Mitchell.

The Walford villain - played by Jamie Foreman - is desperate to make the brassy blonde pay for getting custody of daughter Amy over his brother Jack (Scott Maslen), but the former policeman is horrified when he realises what his sibling is up to.

Scott said: 'Jack's absolutely sickened when he discovers what Derek is planning.

'Jack may have used underhand tactics in the past to try and get custody of Amy, but this is taking things much too far. Jack would never forgive himself if anything bad happened to Roxy.'

Jack warns Derek to back off, but when he learns Roxy (Rita Simons) is trying to interfere with the dodgy booze deal he has with the Queen Vic, he soon orders the hit back on - but is still shocked when he learns his nemesis is missing.

Jack added to Inside Soap magazine: 'The first Jack knows of this is when he calls round to the Mitchells' and Shirley tells him that Roxy didn't come home the night before.

'Jack's furious with Derek and also sick to his stomach at the thought something terrible could have happened to Roxy.

'He storms straight round to confront his brother - he just wants confirmation from Derek that Roxy is alive and well.'
