Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary are the nation's top Valentine's Day crushes.

The 'This Morning' presenter and 'The X Factor' host topped the list of the UK's most fanciable men and women on TV, beating off stiff competition from the likes of music mogul Simon Cowell, 'The Only Way Is Essex' hunk Mark Wright and 'Coronation Street' bombshell Michelle Keegan.

Undertaken by Freeview, the poll saw 'Sherlock' star Benedict Cumberbatch and 'Doctor Who' beauty Karen Gillan come in second place to Holly and Dermot, while 'Xtra Factor' presenter Caroline Flack and 'Strictly Come Dancing' champion Harry Judd landed third place in the rankings.

Meanwhile, Holly's 'This Morning' co-host, Philip Schofield was named the top TV guilty pleasure crush in the male category, while Loose Women's Carol Vorderman bagged the same award for the females with 22 per cent of the vote.

Among those also making up the guilty pleasure rankings were the likes of 'Take Me Out' host Paddy McGuinness, veteran TV presenter Terry Wogan, newsreader Fiona Bruce and 'Lorraine' presenter Lorraine Kelly.

Sara Jones, spokesperson for Freeview, said: 'It's clear TV presenters provide an extra reason to tune in and watch TV and a candlelit dinner at home and watching a romantic film is the perfect Valentine's Day date - it's easier on the pocket than a trip out to the cinema or to a restaurant.'
