Valentine's Day can be a confusing holiday, from gift-giving to poem-writing to restraining order-avoiding. This Valentine's Day, Reverend Al Sharpton gave an interview to his sister network at E! to help point hearts in the right direction, even if that means they end up in Washington, D.C. Some of Rev. Al’s tips:

·         Tell her a funny joke, like “I’m voting for Mitt Romney”. Laughter is the key to a woman’s heart. 

·         If the girl you love is in a relationship, create a SuperPac to run negative ads against her boyfriend. Like this one: Fake ad against “Kevin”

·         Tell her you’re forming an exploratory sub-committee on why she’s so beautiful.

·         If really want to impress a girl, tell her you know me…don’t worry, I’ll vouch for ya.

·         Invite her over to your house, light some candles, and turn on MSNBC’s ‘PoliticsNation’

·         Take a girl out to a nice rally. It doesn’t cost anything and she’ll think you care about a cause you most likely know nothing about

·         Have her follow a path of rose petals up to a primary debate.

·         Write your local congressman, not about anything political, just a love letter. They love the unexpected.

·         Spice up your love life by using words like ‘filibuster’ or ‘quorum’ as sexy euphemisms.

·         Tell her you reduced your carbon footprint before it was cool.

·         Set up a tent city of caring and Occupy her heart.
