Mario Falcone insists he's not 'a player'.

The 'Only Way Is Essex' hunk - who was revealed to have been sending flirty emails to other girls behind the back of his girlfriend, Lucy Mecklenburgh - is adamant that while he has cheated in the past, he would never do anything to hurt the brunette beauty because she is so 'different' to his previous relationships.

He said: 'I've made mistakes. I was a player back in the day, but I'm not anymore. I've cheated in the past but I've never cheated on Lucy. Never. I might come across as confident, but I'm sensitive too.

'Dating girls has always been my thing. It's never been a problem getting a girl to like me, but it was different with Lucy. She is different.'

However, Lucy - who cheated on Mario with former 'TOWIE' star Mark Wright in the last series of the ITV2 reality show - has now ruled out plans to move into Mario's Brentwood pad as she thinks it's too much of a commitment in the wake of everything that has happened between them.

She added in an interview with Reveal magazine: 'There have been a lot of ups and downs so far and I think there always will be for me. I've been finding everything really hectic and I'm quite afraid of what might happen next.

'Moving in together is quite a big commitment. After everything that's happened I think things are best the way they are.'
