Cue the porn guitar and get ready for some bow chicka bow wow good times as Discovery has your number and busts out the naughty edutainment.

Valentine’s Day weekend programming is low calorie as you can pass on the chocolates, champagne and flowers to catch Cupid’s favorite Discovery Channel specials:

Saturday, February 11 on Discovery Channel

9 PM – CURIOSITY: WHY IS SEX FUN? (hosted by Maggie Gyllenhaal)

Orgasm - one of the most intense pleasures we can experience. But what are orgasms actually for?  In men, the answer's simple - reproduction. But women don't need an orgasm to get pregnant.  So why have them? With cutting edge science and research, Maggie Gyllenhaal hosts this revealing investigation into the mystery of the orgasm.

10 PM – ANATOMY OF SEX

The evolution of sex is central to this story.  Our bodies work in specific, yet subtle ways for one reason only: making more humans.  We live for having sex and in this special, how we do it and why are the focus points.  We will travel inside the body to see what happens to both men and women when we're attracted to someone... when we're aroused... and when orgasm finally ensures the possibility of replicating ourselves.

Only 3% of mammals require both a male and a female in care giving.  Why?  Why do men and women mate front to front when all other species mate front to back?  The real evolutionary story of natural selection is told as our showcase couple tries to begin a family.  Chimps walking down city streets provide a unique reference point for those attributes that make our species distinct.
