Carmen Electra received a frosty reception as she stepped in for Amanda Holden on the 'Britain's Got Talent' panel yesterday (06.02.12).

The former 'Baywatch' babe - who is replacing the 40-year-old star for the London stage of auditions - was heckled by crowds and met by chants of 'Who are ya' as she arrived at London's Hammersmith Apollo.

However, the taunts didn't stop when she got inside the venue, and she was criticised by audience members for her 'harsh' critique.

One onlooker told the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'Carmen told one act she was plain and said she wanted to criticise her as soon as she came on. It was very harsh.'

Despite fans' calls for Amanda - who spent three days in critical condition in hospital after giving birth to her daughter Hollie Rose late last month - to return to the panel, show boss Simon Cowell insisted he was enjoying Carmen's streak of 'pure evil'.

After she lambasted a dance group, Simon said: 'This woman is pure evil and that's why I picked her.'

Meanwhile, David Walliams - who joins Alesha and Simon on the panel of the ITV1 show - admitted yesterday's auditions were the best to date, but joked that Carmen had 'absolutely no clue' who he or Alesha were.

Writing on his twitter page, he said: 'In London yesterday we had the best day of auditions yet for BGT, I think we may have found an international superstar (I don't mean Simon).

'We all liked new guest judge Carmen Electra, Simon probably liked her the most! She has absolutely no clue who me or Alesha are though! (sic)'
