Simon Cowell praises BGT Olympic hopeful

Simon Cowell has told one 'Britain's Got Talent' hopeful she is good enough to sing at the Olympic Games.

Jeorgia Parara, 15, wowed Simon and his fellow judges - Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden's stand-in Carmen Electra - with her performance of Christina Aguilera's 'Hurt' during the London auditions yesterday (06.02.12), and the music mogul says he wants to help fulfil her ambition of singing at the opening ceremony of the London Games in July.

Jeorgia - who has already launched an online petition in a bid to perform at the sporting event - told the judges: 'I want to sing at the Olympics opening ceremony. I started working on it when I was 12 and as soon as I heard London won the Olympic bid it became my dream.

'I want to do it through the show. It's not too late, they haven't picked the acts or the song.'

Simon then replied: 'I can see your potential. I am friends with the guy heading the Olympics and to him it's a case of 'Yes, I'll put her on' so it could happen.'

Alesha added: 'You blew me away. I saw the online campaign and I have never seen anyone so young and so dedicated to getting there.'
