The fix is on: Jim Carrey's daughter Jane is a shoe-in thanks to dad's star power as she easily sails in among San Diego audtions.
The “Idol” auditions were held on the USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier now permanently docked in San Diego Harbor.
During this initial phase of the reality competiton, 53 contestants earned their Golden Ticket to Hollywood.
Notable performances were turned in by Aubree Dieckmeyer, Ali Shields and Kyle Crews. Crews won over Tyler, who proclaimed that he was “the best male voice” so far.
But it was lovely Jane Carrey whose singing was so-so that bowled over Jennifer Lopez who remembered the girl as a two year-old on the set of “In Living Color” – when she worked with Jim Carrey.
Carrey sang Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to Talk About” and earned fast praise and a bump to Hollywood.
Next round comes from Aspen, Colorado.
