Zooey Deschanel to divorce Death Cab for Cutie singer

FOX "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel filed for divorce from her rocker husband, Ben Gibbard, on Dec. 27 in Los Angeles, the Associated Press reports.
Deschanel. the daughter of cinematographer Caleb Deschanel and sister to fellow FOX TV star (Bones) Emily Deschanel cited irreconcilable differences.
The couple wed in September 2009, and announced they were separating in November. The split is described as "amicable."
Deschanel is nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "New Girl," and Gibbard is the lead singer of the band Death Cab for Cutie.
