FOX hit series "So You Think You Can Dance" featuring executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe will see some changes to the show's format.
EW reports that FOX has ended the SYTYCD results show on the summer reality series.
Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe used Twitter to announce the news: “Fox have [sic] cancelled the results show so I will have to change the format of ‘SYTYCD. At least we have another season at the end of May … Don’t worry ‘SYTYCD’ fans. I’m thrilled we have a new [season]. We’ll do our best to find some great talent starting next week in Atlanta.”
The series has slipped in the ratings over the years, despite the reintroduction of Mary Murphy, absent in season 7.
Murphy told EW: "Fox did make me an offer [for judging on season 7]. Things fell down in negotiation on my side, and I started having some major tragedies in my personal life and was absolutely dead exhausted. We came to the conclusion that I would choreograph, and I came back for Las Vegas week, and then my house started spiraling out of control. I was taught to be keen and very vigilant. I knew I had a tumor in my throat, but I was so confident and in denial that it would never turn to cancer. I went along my merry way."
