AMC renews 'Hell on Wheels'

The series sees rapper Common as a freed slave and former farmer turned Confederate soldier Anson Mount in a revenge tale against the Union soldiers who killed Mount\'s character\'s wife.
New drama "Hell on Wheels" is a go for a second season, according to Deadline.com.
"Hell On Wheels" started with big ratings post-"Walking Dead," a reported 4.4 million viewers, ranking as AMC’s second-highest-rated series premiere behind "Dead" in total viewers as well as adults 18-49 and 25-54. The series now averages 2 million viewers.
"Hell On Wheels" will air episode 8 on January 1.
