Actor Alec Baldwin popped in for a special appearance on Saturday Night Live.
SNL veteran Baldwin was playing the part of an AA pilot who sympathized with the "real" Alec Baldwin, who he describes as "an American treasure."
Baldwin was booted off an American Airlines flight last week for refusing to power down his iPhone while playing Words With Friends.
The ensuing war of words on Twitter and in the media culminated in the NBC Saturday Night Live skit as Baldwin apologized to himself.
Baldwin, dressed as an AA pilot, appeared on Weekend Update with Seth Meyers.
American Airlines' “Captain Steve Rogers” issued an apology: “I am ashamed at the way he was treated...I mean, what harm would it do to let him keep playing his game? Not just any game mind you, but a word game for smart people.”
Meyers was asking him if it was a good idea to do this as Baldwin would break from character and whisper, “Yeah, just keep it going.”
