“Hell on Wheels” stars Common and Anson Mount, who are in fighting shape and go at it in the coming episode.
The episode to watch for is “Bread and Circuses,” airing at 9 p.m. Dec. 4 on AMC.
Common’s character is freed slave Elam Ferguson, now working for the Union Pacific Railroad, who challenges his foreman, Cullen Bohannon (Mount) after Bohannon demands he work for free until railroad boss Doc Durant (Colm Meaney) can actually pay them.
Doc sets up at “pugilistic match” between the two men after Ferguson objects to the payment delay.
