Elisabeth Hasselbeck was like a dog with a bone over a past remark made in jest by Bill Maher on his HBO series, "Real Time with Bill Maher."
In a heated exchange, Hasselbeck kept on Maher over a joke Maher made last February, in which he suggested trading her in exchange for CBS News correspondent Lara Logan.
“The View” co-host told Maher she didn’t find his joke to be funny, and he explained that she was a public person and it was no personal attack on her.
Hasselbeck was relentless, and Maher, annoyed she was eating up his air time to promote his book, said, “If I had a crystal ball and knew I was coming here and had to spend my whole segment talking about it, no.”
As the conversation was steered by Walters into politics, Hasselbeck said, “Wow, I actually feel smarter sitting next to you.” Maher's reply? “Really? I feel like I’m in high school sitting next to you.”
