Ricky Gervais is offering Hollywood a two for one deal.
Now that Eddie Murphy quit as Oscar show host Wednesday afternoon — in support of Brett Ratner's resignation, the void needs to be filled.
The Academy announced Brian Grazer would take Ratner’s place. Ratner resigned over a gay slur remark he made on the Howard Stern Show, which he later apologized for.
Gervais joked with Access Hollywood that he would gladly host two upcoming 2012 awards shows – the Golden Globes and the Oscars – for a discounted price.
“I’ll do it,” he told Access Hollywood Wednesday at the 5th Annual Stand Up For Heroes event in New York City, when asked about the Oscars no longer having a host. “I’ll do that as well. I’ll be in town any way for the Globes.”
“Exactly, two for one offer,” he smiled. “I can knock off 20 percent. Two for one deal. I’ll just stay up there.”
As for the Golden Globes, Gervais says he has interest with NBC, the network which airs the Golden Globes, but the Hollywood Foreign Press has not asked him yet.
“I think NBC wants me to do it, but [the] Hollywood Foreign Press have got to want me as well. It’s their event. It’s their party,” he told Access.
